Growing what you've built

List your practice where parents already search. Covers organic discovery, remote reach, profile visibility, and inquiry handling for established advocates.

Why add a directory listing

Find Parent Advocates is where parents search for help. Our SEO ranks for advocate searches by location, rates, and IEP topics. That brings in families who do not know you yet. A listing puts your profile on the pages they open. You still run intake and invoice families directly.

Case study: Where families find us

From January 1 through June 1, 2026, the four largest user channels on Find Parent Advocates were organic search, direct visits, organic social, and referral links. Organic search was about 60% of users. Top entry pages were advocate search, pricing guides, and individual profiles.

Our data: January 1 through June 1, 2026, from Google Analytics default channel grouping (8,492 users). Percentages rounded. Past traffic does not guarantee future inquiries for your listing; results depend on your profile, location, and what families are searching for.

Remote and out-of-area clients

If you take remote clients, parents outside your metro can find and contact you. Set local, remote, or both on your profile. When remote is enabled, you appear in location and specialty search for families nationwide who filter for remote availability.

Directory search

Parents use location and specialty search to filter by city or state, IEP meetings, 504 plans, dispute support, age group, and local or remote availability. Your listing stays searchable year-round.

When your service area and specialties match a parent's filters, your profile appears in those results. Parents submit inquiries from your profile; messages and contact details go to your portal inbox.

  • Active status badge: shows you are taking clients now
  • Availability: days, hours, and local, remote, or both; kept current in search results

Search engine visibility

Each approved listing gets a static, indexable profile page with structured data and location keywords. Your listing also appears on state and city browse pages. Professional listings include crawlable links to your website and social profiles.

  • Indexed profile pages: static HTML with canonical URLs, not JavaScript-only rendering
  • Schema.org markup: Person data with location, specialties, and bio excerpt
  • State and location pages: browse-by-location pages that rank for metro and state searches
  • External links (Professional): crawlable links to your website, LinkedIn, and social profiles

Profile and reviews

Parents compare rate, services, specialties, experience, and reviews before contacting anyone. A complete profile answers those questions before the first call. Incomplete listings lose comparisons to advocates who filled in rate, services, and review history.

  • Reviews: six-category ratings, written feedback, verified badge when email is provided; insight tags on 5-star categories
  • Star ratings in search: visible in directory results before a parent opens your profile
  • Featured testimonials (Professional): pin selected reviews to the top of your profile
  • Verified Pro badge (Professional): platform review marker after listing approval

Managing inquiries

More visibility means more messages to track. The portal centralizes inquiries and booking activity. You respond to families directly by email or phone. We do not screen inquiries, schedule calls for you, or take a commission on cases you close.

  • Inbox: inquiries, contact details, and message content in the advocate portal
  • Email notifications: alert when a parent submits an inquiry through your profile
  • Booking link (Professional): Calendly, HubSpot, Acuity, or another scheduler on your profile; replaces the contact form when set
  • Booking analytics (Professional): scheduler click tracking in the Booking tab
  • IDEA regulations (Professional): searchable 34 CFR Part 300 in the advocate portal

No commission. You invoice families directly and keep 100% of fees. Basic is $10/month; Professional is $20/month. See plan details.
