Tier 1 ($30 per hour): Household income under $25,000
Tier 2 ($60 per hour): Household income between $25,000–$50,000
Standard ($100 per hour): Household income above $50,000 or all families

Yes, always. Every engagement begins with a complimentary 30-minute consultation where we'll review your situation, identify key issues, and provide a written cost estimate. There's no obligation and no pressure. Just clear, helpful guidance.

Yes, but transparently. All advocate time, including emails, phone calls, document review, and meeting attendance, is tracked and billed at your agreed hourly rate. You'll always know what's included in your estimate, and we never exceed the agreed budget without asking first.

Our estimates are based on typical cases, and we're usually very accurate. If we anticipate needing more time, we'll notify you immediately and explain why before any additional work is done. You'll always have the final say on scope and budget adjustments.

After your free consultation, you'll receive an engagement agreement with payment terms. Most families pay via credit card, bank transfer, or check. For longer engagements, we can arrange milestone-based payments to make budgeting easier.

Advocacy services may be tax-deductible as a medical expense if prescribed by a doctor, but this varies by individual tax situation. Consult your tax advisor. Unfortunately, most health insurance plans don't cover educational advocacy, but HSA/FSA funds can sometimes be used.
