Common Questions About Pricing
Our rates range from $30/hour to $100/hour depending on your income level and whether you qualify for Families First pricing. Most common services, like preparing for and attending an IEP meeting, typically take 2-5 hours, meaning total costs range from $60 to $500.
Families First is our income-based pricing program that offers reduced hourly rates for families who qualify. We believe every child deserves expert advocacy, regardless of family income.

Yes, always. Every engagement begins with a complimentary 30-minute consultation where we'll review your situation, identify key issues, and provide a written cost estimate. There's no obligation and no pressure. Just clear, helpful guidance.
Yes, but transparently. All advocate time, including emails, phone calls, document review, and meeting attendance, is tracked and billed at your agreed hourly rate. You'll always know what's included in your estimate, and we never exceed the agreed budget without asking first.
Our estimates are based on typical cases, and we're usually very accurate. If we anticipate needing more time, we'll notify you immediately and explain why before any additional work is done. You'll always have the final say on scope and budget adjustments.
After your free consultation, you'll receive an engagement agreement with payment terms. Most families pay via credit card, bank transfer, or check. For longer engagements, we can arrange milestone-based payments to make budgeting easier.
Advocacy services may be tax-deductible as a medical expense if prescribed by a doctor, but this varies by individual tax situation. Consult your tax advisor. Unfortunately, most health insurance plans don't cover educational advocacy, but HSA/FSA funds can sometimes be used.
We evaluate payment plan requests on a case-by-case basis. During your consultation, let us know if you need flexible payment terms, and we'll work with you to find a solution that fits your budget.
