About

I’m April, and I'm totally excited to help you develop a solid action plan for your child!

I grew up in a family of educators, working in every type of school for over 20 years as a school psychologist and elementary school teacher.

My collaborative approach combines special education advocacy with real-world strategies that work.

After writing thousands of reports and just as many IEPs, I developed breakthrough coaching methods, Do It Yourself IEP Workshops, affordable templates, and IEP advocacy services nationwide that get RESULTS.
Learn to advocate the way you've always wanted, NOW. I work both virtually and in person-centered.

As founder of Rise Educational Advocacy and Consulting, I'll help you Build a Better IEP!™️
